Flying Colours, established in 1986, have grown to become the leading light aircraft painters in the UK. Having established themselves as having a very high regard for finish and quality.
In 1988, Flying Colours started the first of what has turned out to be several contracts for the Ministry of Defense, with this comes the need to work to the most stringent of regulations and time scales. This has led to Flying Colours painting aircraft for leading establishments such as the Jamaican Air Defence, the British Antarctic Survey, the British and US Police as well as countless private customers.
Over the past 15 years Flying Colours have come to paint aircraft and set items for many Box Office hits such as, Mission Impossible, Cliffhanger, many Bond Films and the latest hit Blackhawk Down. From this has come the opportunity to paint aircraft for Television commercials such as the AA and Nivea along with foreign customers including Peter Styvesant cigarettes. In the year 2001, Flying Colours have come to paint well over 10 new Light aircraft from their arrival in Factory primer.
All work is undertaken by CAA approved engineers in a temperature and humidity controlled purpose built premises, using environmentally friendly products from companies such as Jetglow, Aquaglow, PRC Desota and 3M.Flying Colours is an official Jetglow application centre.
